Registered Veterinary Nurse – Full-Time, Grays, Romford, from £28,000 DOE
Hours: Five days per week, 8-hour shifts between 8:00am and 7:30pm, inclusive of a paid lunch break.
Weekends: 1 in 5 Saturdays, 8:30am–4:30pm, with the following Monday off.
Out-of-Hours: No bank holidays, on-call or OOH work.
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity is available for a compassionate and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a busy, independent small animal practice with an experienced and growing team. The role offers a varied workload, opportunities to develop individual clinical interests and a strong focus on providing high standards of patient and client care.
The Role
You will be involved in a varied range of nursing responsibilities, including Schedule 3 work, nurse consultations and clinics, laboratory work and some reception duties. There is also the opportunity to become involved in supervising and training students, which would suit an RVN interested in developing their leadership and mentoring skills.
The practice encourages nurses to develop their own areas of clinical interest, with CPD support available to help you build your skills and expertise.
The Practice
This is a busy, independent, RCVS-accredited small animal practice with a newly opened Wellness Clinic. The practice aims to provide high-quality, affordable care and supports local animal rescues and charities.
The established team includes four full-time Veterinary Surgeons, one part-time Veterinary Surgeon, five full-time and two part-time RVNs, an SVN, two VCAs and a dedicated reception team.
The practice is fully equipped with ultrasound, digital X-ray, dental equipment, an in-house laboratory and surgical theatre. There is also a dedicated cat ward and theatre, with the practice holding ISFM Silver Cat Friendly Clinic accreditation.
