About the Role
We’re representing a well-established and highly regarded independent accountancy and business advisory firm based in Edinburgh, known for delivering trusted financial and advisory services to SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and individuals across Scotland. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Receptionist Administrator to join their professional support team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and personable individual looking to develop their career within a supportive, collaborative, and people-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome visitors and provide a professional front-of-house experience
- Answer incoming telephone calls, manage enquiries, and direct messages appropriately
- Scan, distribute, and manage incoming and outgoing mail
- Prepare letters, documentation, and correspondence for clients
- Maintain visitor logs, meeting room bookings, and boardroom diaries
- Update client information and prepare fee notes using Practice Management Software
- Support the smooth day-to-day running of the office, including stationery and kitchen supplies
- Liaise with suppliers regarding office facilities and maintenance requirements
- Carry out general administrative support duties across the wider team
- Assist with Fire Marshal responsibilities where required
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Previous experience within a busy office or professional services environment
- Minimum of 4 National 5 qualifications (or equivalent), including English at Grade C or above
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office systems
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Professional, approachable, and client-focused attitude
- High attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
