A large accountancy practice in Peterborough is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA / ACCA qualified accountant with significant practice experience who is looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
The Role
- Managing a portfolio of clients, including workforce planning, WIP management, and billing.
- Leading client assignments by briefing team members and ensuring all work is delivered on time and within budget.
- Reviewing and signing off files prepared by junior team members.
- Building strong relationships with existing clients while developing rapport with new ones.
- Supporting continuous improvement, best practice, and high-quality client service.
Requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualification
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage both a personal workload and a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in building client relationships
