Job Specification - Warehouse Scanning Operative (Part-Time)
Hours: Tuesday to Friday, Bicester, Oxfordshire-OX26
Pay: £15.01 an hour and weekly pay
Shifts: 4:00 am-8:00 am or 5:00 am-9:00 am (16 hours per week). Optional 5-hour shifts available (20 hours per week).
Job Purpose: To accurately receive, scan, sort, and prepare stock while ensuring warehouse operations run efficiently, safely, and to company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scan products using handheld barcode scanners.
- Receive, unload, and check incoming deliveries.
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately.
- Sort and organise stock into designated storage locations.
- Label and prepare goods for dispatch.
- Carry out stock counts and inventory checks.
- Report damaged or missing items.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment.
- Follow company procedures and health and safety regulations.
- Work efficiently to meet productivity targets.
Skills and Experience:
- Essential: Good attention to detail, basic numeracy and literacy skills, ability to follow instructions accurately, reliable and punctual, able to work independently and as part of a team, comfortable using handheld scanning devices or willing to learn.
- Desirable: Previous warehouse or logistics experience, experience with barcode scanners or warehouse management systems, manual handling experience.
