Job Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable 7.5 Tonne Driver (Category C1) to join a busy transport team based in Swansea. This is an excellent opportunity offering regular weekday work, plenty of overtime, weekly pay, and the opportunity to secure a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 7.5-tonne vehicle to complete deliveries and collections.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks before each shift.
- Load and unload goods safely, with regular manual handling involved.
- Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed efficiently and on time.
- Complete delivery paperwork and use handheld devices where required.
- Provide excellent customer service when dealing with customers.
- Follow all road transport legislation and company health and safety procedures.
- Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or delivery issues promptly.
- Keep the vehicle clean, tidy, and roadworthy.
Requirements
- Full UK Category C1 (7.5 Tonne) driving licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Maximum of 6 penalty points (no DD, DR or IN endorsements).
- Previous 7.5-tonne driving experience preferred.
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
