Job Purpose
To maintain and improve lawns, landscaped areas, gardens, and external grounds across sites in Slough and surrounding areas, ensuring all outdoor spaces are safe, tidy, and well-presented.
Key Responsibilities
- Grass cutting, edging, and lawn maintenance
- Hedge trimming, pruning, planting, and weeding
- Maintenance of flower beds, shrubs, and trees
- Leaf clearance and seasonal groundwork
- Application of fertilizers and pesticides (where qualified)
- Operation and basic maintenance of gardening machinery and tools
- Keeping paths and hard landscaped areas clean and safe
- Reporting hazards, damage, or plant health issues
- Adhering to all health and safety procedures
Requirements
Essential:
- Previous grounds maintenance or gardening experience
- Ability to operate gardening machinery safely
- Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in all weather
- Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
Desirable:
- Horticultural qualification
- PA1/PA6 spraying licence
- Experience driving company vans or towing trailers
