We are seeking a skilled and reliable Loading Shovel Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating Loading Shovels to perform various tasks in a busy, fast-paced recycling yard.
Duties:
- Operate Loading Shovel
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude for operating heavy machinery
- Valid commercial driving license with experience
- Proficiency in operating loading shovels and excavators
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment
- Understanding of safety regulations and best practices in construction and excavation environments
- Previous experience in a similar role or related field is preferred
You will be responsible for assisting the yard supervisor with the general running of the yard which will include:
- Enforcing Health and safety.
- Loading/unloading vehicles.
- Organising traffic.
- Keeping the production line running.
- Covering breaks
- CPCS license required
- Previous experience in a similar environment would be preferred
