Job Specification - Class 2 Driver (LGV C) Job Title: Class 2 Driver (LGV C) Location: Exeter Hours: Monday to Friday Start Time: 6:00am Shift Length: Approximately 9-10 hours per day The Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 (LGV C) Driver to join our client's team based in Exeter. This is a full-time, ongoing opportunity servicing customers throughout Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing approximately 15-25 customer service stops per day, operating a Specialist Collection Vehicle (SCV) and emptying 1,000-litre bins safely and efficiently. This is a physically demanding role, and candidates must be comfortable carrying out regular manual handling duties throughout the working day. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a Class 2 (LGV C) vehicle. Complete daily routes across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. Service approximately 15-25 customer locations per shift. Empty 1,000-litre bins into a Specialist Collection Vehicle (SCV). Carry out vehicle safety checks before and after each shift. Maintain high standards of health and safety. Deliver excellent customer service at each collection point. Complete all relevant paperwork and comply with driver regulations.Requirements Valid Category C (Class 2/LGV C) driving licence. Valid Driver CPC qualification. Valid Digital Tachograph Card. Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred. Good knowledge of driver hours and working time regulations. Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious. Able to undertake a physically demanding role involving manual handling.Pay Rates Standard: £16.40 per hour Overtime: £16.40 per hour Saturday: £20.50 per hour Sunday: £20.50 per hour Bank Holiday: £21.00 per hourWhat We Offer Monday to Friday working pattern.
