We are looking for a hands-on Delivery Driver / Removals Operative to join a busy removals company based in Clapham. This is not just a driving role. You will be actively involved in loading, moving, carrying and unloading household and commercial items, as well as driving the company vehicle.
The Role
- Driving company vehicles to customer locations
- Moving household furniture and personal belongings
- Carrying out commercial moves for offices and businesses
- Loading and unloading furniture, boxes and equipment
- Heavy lifting and carrying
- Helping dismantle and reassemble furniture where required
- Wrapping and protecting furniture and belongings
- Transporting items safely between locations
- Working as part of a removals team
- Providing professional customer service
- Following health and safety procedures
Requirements
- Full UK manual driving licence
- No more than 6 points on your licence
- Previous driving experience preferred
- Removals, delivery, warehouse or manual-handling experience is an advantage
- Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
- Happy working in a hands-on role as well as driving
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Able to work well as part of a team
