The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 (LGV C) Driver to join our client’s team based in Exeter. This is a full-time, ongoing opportunity servicing customers throughout Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing approximately 15-25 customer service stops per day, operating a Specialist Collection Vehicle (SCV) and emptying 1,000-litre bins safely and efficiently. This is a physically demanding role, and candidates must be comfortable carrying out regular manual handling duties throughout the working day.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 (LGV C) vehicle.
- Complete daily routes across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.
- Service approximately 15-25 customer locations per shift.
- Empty 1,000-litre bins into a Specialist Collection Vehicle (SCV).
- Carry out vehicle safety checks before and after each shift.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety.
- Deliver excellent customer service at each collection point.
- Complete all relevant paperwork and comply with driver regulations.
Requirements
- Valid Category C (Class 2/LGV C) driving licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred.
