An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Transport Manager to join a large, well-established logistics business during a period of strategic expansion. This role will play a key part in launching and managing a new cross-border linehaul solution between the UK, Netherlands, Ireland and additional EU lanes as the network scales throughout the year. This is a genuine opportunity to build and shape a new operation within a growing team, with long-term progression available as fleet size and lane volumes increase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as Transport Manager and be named on the Operator's Licence
- Oversee a dedicated linehaul fleet operating cross-border between the UK and EU
- Manage driver compliance, WTD, tachograph and O Licence obligations
- Ensure full compliance with DVSA and regulatory requirements
- Monitor fleet utilisation, route efficiency and cost control
- Support the launch of new EU lanes as operations expand
- Liaise with EU partners and operational teams
- Travel to EU locations up to twice per month as required
- Drive operational performance, service levels and KPI delivery
Requirements:
- Valid International Transport Manager CPC
- Experience being named on an Operator's Licence
- Strong knowledge of UK and EU transport regulations
- Linehaul / trunking management experience
- Cross-border transport experience (UK-EU preferred)
- Experience managing drivers and fleet compliance
- Strong understanding of tachograph legislation and WTD
- Willingness to travel internationally (up to 2 trips per month)
- Commercially aware and operationally hands-on
