The Role
This mission-critical role ensures the seamless movement of goods from European Gateways into the UK and Ireland. You will advise customers on international requirements while maintaining strict compliance for time-sensitive freight.
Key Accountabilities
- Documentation: Process export documents within 30 minutes to maintain Air and Road loading schedules.
- Compliance: Ensure transportation documents and manifests are ready for transmission by 00:30.
- Accuracy: Manage export clearances and manifests to prevent disruption to Irish import processes.
- Technical Tasks: Execute AWB cutting, flight manifest building, and safety/security filings.
- Administration: Maintain reporting for transactional charging and resolve customer or customs queries.
Requirements
- Experience: 2+ years in Import/Export and Customs Compliance (Air and Road).
- Systems: Proficiency with HMRC, Border Force, CHIEF, and CDS.
- Regulation: Fully conversant with current import/export laws.
- Qualification: Professional qualification in Customs or International Trade.
- Skills: Advanced IT skills, specifically Excel, and strong commercial acumen.
