Job Summary

Supreme Recruitment are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical/Electrical (Electrical Bias).

You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of production by delivering high-quality maintenance, fault finding, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement activities.

With a strong electrical bias, you will use your expertise across electrical systems, PLCs, robotics, servo motors, drives, CNC machinery, and automated production lines to minimise downtime and maintain high standards of equipment reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and guidance to Maintenance and TPM Engineers, working closely with technical, quality, and manufacturing teams.
  • Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on automated production lines, CNC machinery, specialist equipment, and facilities.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex faults across electrical systems, PLCs, HMIs, robotics, servo motors, drives, and mechanical equipment.
  • Support new machinery introductions, commissioning, continuous improvement, and initiatives focused on reducing downtime and improving equipment reliability.
  • Promote safe working practices, PPE compliance, 5C, and TPM standards across the maintenance environment.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, monitor consumable stock levels, and provide support to other departments as required.
  • Prioritise maintenance activities in line with production requirements and provide additional support during weekends and planned shutdowns when required.

Skills

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment, with a strong electrical bias.
  • Experience with CNC machinery, PLCs, servo motors and drives, Fanuc robotics, and automated manufacturing systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics, with strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills across electrical, mechanical, and automation systems.
  • HNC or higher qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a relevant equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in preventative maintenance, continuous improvement, and supporting equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety requirements and a commitment to maintaining high workplace standards.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible approach to working a double-day shift pattern, with availability for weekend and planned shutdown maintenance support when required.

This position operates on a double-day shift pattern

  • Week 1: 6:00am–2:00pm, Monday to Thursday, and 6:00am–11:00am on Friday
  • Week 2: 2:00pm–10:00pm, Monday to Thursday, and 11:00am–4:00pm on Friday

Additional weekend and planned shutdown maintenance support may be required.
