The Role
As a Prepper/Painter, you will be responsible for preparing and refinishing vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and with attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicles for painting, including sanding, masking, filling, and priming.
- Mix and apply paint using modern spray-painting equipment.
- Carry out paint refinishing and polishing to manufacturer standards.
- Perform colour matching to achieve a flawless finish.
- Inspect completed work to ensure excellent quality.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Work collaboratively with technicians and workshop staff to meet production targets.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Prepper and/or Painter within an accident repair centre or bodyshop.
- Excellent knowledge of vehicle preparation and paint application techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Advantageous: Candidates who hold an NVQ or IMI level 3
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
