Leather Vehicle Seating Machinist: Twin Needle & Lockstitch in Leicester

Job Description

We are recruiting for several Industrial Sewing Machinists to support the growth of our client based in rural Leicestershire, they are an independent manufacturer of Automotive seats.

We are recruiting for a skilled Industrial Sewing Machinist who can join the team on a long term basis.

Hours of work: 8am – 5pm Mon-Fri (early finish Friday)

Pay: Dependent on skillset, up to £14 per hour

In this position, your duties may include:

• Operating a twin needle sewing machine to assist with producing vehicle seating
• Lockstitch and Overlock.
• Following golden samples or precise requirements
• Performing own quality control
• Use various materials including Leather

Our ideal candidate will:

• Be familiar / have experience in lockstitch and overlock.
• It is advantageous if you have used twin stitch machines
• Have experience working with leather
• Be a good communicator
• Be literate as paperwork is involved
