We are seeking an experienced and reliable Forklift Operative to join our pallet operation. This is a 100% forklift role with no manual handling, focused entirely on the loading and unloading of double-deck trailers in a fast-paced yard and warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a counterbalance forklift truck safely and efficiently at all times
- Load and unload double-deck articulated trailers with stacked pallets
- Ensure pallets are handled, stacked, and positioned correctly to prevent damage
- Maintain high standards of health and safety compliance
- Carry out daily forklift checks and report any defects
- Follow site procedures and loading plans accurately
- Work efficiently to meet daily throughput and productivity targets
- Communicate effectively with transport and yard staff
Requirements
- Valid counterbalance forklift licence (RTITB / ITSSAR / AITT or equivalent)
- Proven experience loading and unloading double-deck trailers
- Confident handling pallets at height and in tight trailer spaces
- Strong awareness of health and safety regulations
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Comfortable working in a busy, high-volume pallet environment
Hours of work: Evening/Night shift - You would need to work 3/4 4 hour shifts per week. This company is flexible with what days and start times. This company does do staggered start times so are flexible. Start times between 6pm - 10pm
Pay: £15ph with weekly pay
