The Role
/n
As a Class 2 Driver within our Street Works Team, you will:
/n
/n
- Safely operate a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle.
/n
- Transport personnel, tools, equipment and materials to Street Works sites across Kent.
/n
- Work as part of a two-person crew carrying out Street Works and reinstatement works.
/n
- Carry out excavations, reinstatements and repairs in accordance with NRSWA regulations.
/n
- Complete daily vehicle checks and all relevant paperwork.
/n
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
/n
- Deliver excellent customer service while working on the public highway.
/n
- Comply with all UK road transport legislation, health & safety procedures and company policies.
/n
- Assist with loading, unloading and general site duties as required.
/n

Physical Requirements
/n
This is a physically demanding role and includes:
/n
/n
- Regular heavy lifting and manual handling.
/n
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions.
/n
- Excavation, reinstatement and general Street Works duties.
/n
- Working as part of a close-knit team throughout the day.
/n
/n
Essential Requirements
/n
/n
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence.
/n
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
/n
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
/n
- Valid NRSWA Street Works Operative Card (Units LA1, O1-O6/O7 or equivalent).
/n
- Good knowledge of UK driving regulations.
/n
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
/n
- Reliable, professional and safety-conscious attitude.
/n

Desirable
/n
/n
- NRSWA Supervisor Qualification (LA2/S1-S7).
/n
- Previous experience in Street Works, Utilities, Highways or Civil Engineering.
/n
- Experience operating plant and equipment (e.g. mini excavators, dumpers or rollers).
/n
- Valid CSCS Card.
/n
- Traffic Management qualifications.
/n
- HGV HIAB licence (advantageous but not essential).
/n
