Long-Distance Driver – Exciting Opportunity!

Are you an experienced overnight long-distance driver looking for a rewarding role? We have the perfect opportunity for you!

Position HGV Delivery Cover Driver is available immediately.

• Food Delivery
• The job requires manual lifting and delivering multiple items using delivery trolley.
• Start of work is in Hounslow. Traveling to customers sites nationwide and delivering orders is required. Job done and finish, back at Dibs.
• Working hours are up to 48h/week in average, within the rolling 17 weeks reference period. Drivers are covered by EU 561/2006 regulation.
• Work pattern is random as cover driver role is to cover holidays, sick leave. No permanent days or rounds to cover.
• 4 days working time for full-time employees.
• Working week rota is provided 2 weeks and advance and will consist of 4 day working week, 6 days on call duty or a mixture of both, according to weekly rest required by EU directive.
• Staying away from home and sleeping in the lorry cab (bunk bed, night heater) is part of the job. 1 night per trip or 3 if it is Scotland run. Max 2 or 3 night in one given week.

We offer:

• Basic salary GBP40,766.54 per annum with annual pay review in April. Salary being paid monthly, at the end of the month.
• Extra bonuses for each working day, unblemished driving record and the Company performance bonuses in January and March (pro-rata for new employees) totalling up to GBP7,309.30 per annum
• Length of service bonus entitlement after 5 years of service
• 2 weeks paid training (might be extended by 1 week if necessary)
• Permanent, full-time contract
• Paid annual leave 5.6 weeks inclusive of Bank holidays

• Company uniform and mobile phone
• Overtime is available but not guaranteed

Total salary including performance bonuses is up to GBP48,075.84 per annum. Overtime is often available easily pushing the salary over GBP50,000 per annum.

Ideal Candidate:

• Valid driving license (HGV) CPC – TACHO
• Experience in long-distance driving
• Strong time management skills
• Comfortable sleeping in the lorry during routes
• Reliable and committed to delivering top-quality service
