We're working with a well-established and growing freight forwarding business looking to add an Import Operations Coordinator to their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with existing import experience, or a strong junior looking to build a long-term career within freight and logistics. You'll be joining a busy, supportive team where you'll take ownership of shipments and play a key role in delivering a high level of service to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing import shipments across Air, Road and Ocean freight
- Handling customer enquiries and providing job quotations
- Liaising with carriers, agents, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations
- Processing shipments from start to finish
- Costing jobs and raising invoices
- Maintaining accurate records and managing your own workload
- Supporting warehouse operations where required
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within freight forwarding / import operations (preferred)
- Exposure to customs processes (CDS/CHIEF knowledge beneficial but not essential)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
