We are currently looking for a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our team at a busy recycling centre. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and supporting the smooth operation of plant machinery and site equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out mechanical maintenance and repairs on plant machinery
- Welding and fabrication work when required
- Basic electrical fault finding and repairs
- Plumbing and general site maintenance
- Responding to breakdowns and carrying out preventative maintenance
- Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health & safety procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience in plant maintenance or a similar industrial environment
- Ability to weld and carry out basic fabrication
- Knowledge of electrics and plumbing
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently
- Flexible with working hours
Working Hours
Monday to Friday 07:00 - 16:00 (times may vary, flexibility required). Weekend work available when required (must be available if needed).
Pay
£14.00 - £17.00 per hour (depending on experience).
