Role Overview
We are looking for experienced
Street Works Operatives to support highways and street works operations.
The role involves carrying out planned and reactive works on the public highway, working as part of an operational team to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general highways and street works duties.
- Assist with excavation, backfilling and reinstatement of highways and footways.
- Undertake tarmac, kerbing, paving and concrete works where required.
- Support carriageway and footway repairs and maintenance.
- Assist with drainage, gully and other highway maintenance works.
- Set up and maintain safe working areas, including signing, lighting and guarding.
- Operate small plant, tools and equipment safely.
- Load and unload materials, tools and equipment.
- Work alongside drivers, supervisors and other highways operatives.
- Carry out reactive and emergency highway works when required.
- Ensure sites are left safe, clean and secure following completion of works.
