Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 Refuse Driver to join our waste and recycling team in Hounslow.

You will be responsible for operating a refuse collection vehicle safely while working alongside a team of loaders to collect household and commercial waste across the borough.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle.
  • Complete daily vehicle safety inspections and report any defects.
  • Follow designated collection routes and schedules.
  • Work closely with the refuse collection crew to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Adhere to all road traffic legislation and health and safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete relevant paperwork.
  • Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with members of the public.

Requirements

  • Valid UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
  • Driver CPC qualification.
  • Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Good understanding of drivers' hours and vehicle safety regulations.
  • Previous refuse or waste collection experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
