Our award-winning charity is looking for a volunteer Bookkeeper to maintain our financial records. Duties include working closely with our Head of Accounts and accurately recording all day-to-day financial transactions of our company.

What difference will you make? Your input will directly help us to record and understand our finances, which is key to our long-term growth and to meet the Charity Commission and Accounting requirements.

What are we looking for?

  • Proven bookkeeping experience
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

What will you be doing?

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
  • Verify that transactions are correctly recorded
  • Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements
  • Process accounts receivable/payable in a timely manner
  • Support the development of improved ways of working
  • Liaise with our accountant/auditors regarding queries and updates
  • Monitor the payment platforms such as Stripe and SumUp and ensure appropriate reconciliation
