Role: Service Manager (Children and Young People) Based: Havant/Basingstoke Rate: £36,547 – £41,116 Start Date: ASAP Duration: Permanent Hours: Full Time – 37 hours Our client, a specialist Domestic Violence charity, is looking to recruit a Service Manager (Children and Young People) to join their team. Synopsis of duties: Lead the set-up, development, operational management, and quality assurance of all aspects of Children and Young People’s Services. Develop professional practice standards and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the service. Monitor and evaluate service delivery to ensure compliance with contractual, practice, and quality requirements. Collaborate with internal and external colleagues delivering Children and Young People’s Services to ensure cohesive service provision. Act as the primary point of contact for subcontractors, partners, and stakeholders. Ensure sub-contracted/partner services meet expected standards and that any issues are promptly addressed. Complete monitoring and financial returns required by funders/commissioners. Present reports, statistics, staffing updates, and case studies to the Senior Leadership Team and/or Board of Trustees. Identify, plan, and manage new service developments and contribute to the Business Plan and funding applications. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements across all services to guarantee safe access for both clients and staff. Provide leadership to staff teams, ensuring effective communication and motivation. Coach and train team members to maintain a skilled and positive workforce. Support Deputy Service Managers/support staff in addressing safeguarding concerns regarding client safety. Work collaboratively with other agencies to ensure services meet the needs of women, children, young people, and men affected by domestic abuse Promote awareness of domestic abuse and the organisation through training and presentations. Provide direct support and build strong relationships with education, police, healthcare, housing, and Children’s Social Care services. Coordinate local awareness-raising campaigns and participate in multi-agency partnerships and events. Attend and facilitate service user consultation to gather feedback and improve services. Ensure staff make service user meetings engaging and effective communication tools. Handle complaints and participate in investigations, ensuring full reporting to the Operations Manager. Ensure all services comply with safeguarding policies and procedures, including the Protection from Abuse Policy and Local Safeguarding Board standards. Stay up-to-date and compliant with organisational procedures, policies, professional codes of conduct, and uphold best practice standards. Essential Requirements: Experience of working in Domestic Abuse/Children’s Social Care/Children’s Centre/Education or other relevent agency Experience providing support to children, young people and families in crisis.
