Every placement we make helps organisations supporting people affected by domestic abuse, homelessness, modern slavery, substance misuse, mental health, children's services and other complex social issues.
We’re looking for an ambitious Trainee Recruitment Consultant who is excited by the opportunity to learn, develop and build a long-term career with our business. As a growing specialist consultancy, you’ll work closely with our Directors and experienced consultants from day one, gaining exposure to every aspect of the recruitment process rather than just one part of it. You’ll receive structured training, real responsibility and ongoing mentoring, developing the skills and confidence to become a successful Recruitment Consultant. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain a nationally recognised Level 3 Recruitment Apprenticeship while building a rewarding career within a business that genuinely invests in its people.
What you’ll be doing
- Search for and identify candidates using job boards, LinkedIn and our specialist CRM database
- Speak with candidates to understand their experience, motivations and career aspirations
- Build long-term relationships with professionals working across the charity and not-for-profit sector
- Write engaging job adverts and candidate attraction campaigns
- Match candidates to suitable opportunities
- Arrange interviews and support candidates throughout the recruitment process
- Keep our CRM system accurate and up to date
- Carry out compliance, right to work and pre-employment checks
- Support consultants with client recruitment campaigns
- Learn about employment legislation, safeguarding and recruitment best practice
- Develop the confidence to speak with senior professionals and charity leaders across the UK
As your confidence and knowledge grow, you’ll begin managing your own recruitment campaigns with the support of an experienced mentor. No previous recruitment experience is required. We’ll provide all the training and support you need to succeed. What matters most to us is your attitude, willingness to learn and desire to build a long-term career. What we’re looking for
- GCSE Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A positive, professional and enthusiastic attitude
- Confidence speaking with people over the telephone
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Curiosity and a genuine willingness to learn
- Resilience, determination and a strong work ethic
- A genuine interest in helping people build rewarding careers
