Role: Children and Young Person's Therapist

Based: Cumbria (2 days at home and 3 in the community/office)

Salary: £30,750 per annum

Hours: 37 hours

Start Date: ASAP June 2026

Duration: 1 year Fixed Term Contract

Our client, a highly respected National Children and Young Person's Charity, is looking to recruit a Counsellor to join their specialist Cumbrian based Emotional Health and Well Being Services. The service provides individual and group therapy work to children and young people aged 5 to 18 (and up to 25 if they have Special Educational Needs) having trouble with their mental health and emotional well-being.

You will be supporting clients with Tier 2 Mental Health needs including anxiety, bereavement, attachment disorders and family breakdown. They work using a person-centred approach and encourage the use of a range of methods and tools to best fit the child(ren) including play, art, drama and integrative approaches.
