Location: Home-based with travel across North Lincolnshire

Pay Rate: £15 - £18 per hour (dependent on pay status)

Hours: Full-time

Contract: Temporary (initially until mid-April, with potential extension)

At Supporting Futures, we specialise in connecting passionate professionals with roles that make a real difference, working closely with leading charities and services across the UK supporting vulnerable children, young people, adults and families.

We are currently seeking an experienced Child Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (CHISVA) to support a specialist sexual violence service across North Lincolnshire. This is a temporary opportunity providing sickness cover, initially until mid-April, with the possibility of extension depending on service need. The role is primarily home-based, with travel required across North Lincolnshire to attend face-to-face client meetings, multi-agency meetings and court appointments where required.

About the Role

The CHISVA will provide specialist, trauma-informed support to children and young people who have experienced sexual violence, ensuring they receive the practical and emotional support needed to navigate recovery and the criminal justice process. You will act as a trusted advocate for young survivors, supporting them and their families while working closely with safeguarding partners including police, social care, health services and education providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide confidential, trauma-informed support to children and young people affected by sexual violence
  • Undertake risk assessments and develop safety and support plans
  • Support young people and their families through criminal justice processes where appropriate
  • Advocate on behalf of young people to ensure access to appropriate services
  • Work closely with safeguarding partners including police, social care, health and education
  • Attend multi-agency meetings and contribute to safeguarding discussions
  • Travel across North Lincolnshire to attend appointments, meetings and court hearings when required

About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people and experienced in working within trauma-informed safeguarding environments.

Essential

  • Experience supporting children and young people affected by sexual violence, domestic abuse or exploitation
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and risk assessment
  • Experience working with multi-agency partners
  • Excellent communication and advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively within a temporary role
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or issued within the last 12 months

Desirable

  • CHISVA or ISVA qualification (or working towards)
  • Experience supporting young people through criminal justice processes
  • Knowledge of local services across North Lincolnshire
