Role: ABEN Support Worker Location: Rochdale (with travel across local projects as required) Hours: Full-time Mon-Fri 9-5 (including occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call support) Hourly rate: 16UMB Start Date: As soon as possible Duration: Temp until March 2026 (possible extension) Essential: Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and/or homelessness, driver Our client is a values-driven organisation providing specialist support to individuals experiencing homelessness, domestic abuse, and other complex life challenges across the North West. Their mission is to empower people to live independently, build confidence, and develop the skills needed to create safe, stable futures. They are now seeking a motivated and compassionate ABEN Support Worker to join their service in Rochdale, providing high-quality, trauma-informed support to women experiencing homelessness and multiple barriers to safety and stability. Key Responsibilities: Deliver person-centred, trauma-informed support to women experiencing homelessness and complex needs. Conduct thorough needs and risk assessments, creating tailored support and safety plans. Work with clients to increase independence, improve wellbeing, and secure long-term accommodation. Provide information, advocacy, and practical assistance to help clients access housing, benefits, healthcare, education, and employment. Collaborate with multi-agency partners to ensure coordinated and effective support. Accurately maintain case records, support plans, and outcomes in line with policy and procedure. Support and supervise volunteers or students within the service. Participate in on-call rota and flexible working hours to ensure service accessibility.Requirements: Qualification in Health and Social Care, Support Work, or related field (Level 3/NVQ/Diploma or equivalent experience). Experience working with people facing homelessness, domestic abuse, or multiple disadvantages. Strong understanding of safeguarding and risk management. Excellent communication, organisation, and record-keeping skills. Ability to work flexibly across multiple sites and as part of a team. DBS issued within the last 12 months or registered on the update service. Full UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle.
