Responsibilities
- Debt Chasing & Customer Communication
- Chase outstanding debts via telephone and email in a professional and consistent manner.
- Respond promptly to incoming calls from customers, branches, and internal teams.
- Send monthly statements to customers to support timely payments.
- Respond to customer queries arising from statements or chasers.
- Query Management
- Forward invoice queries to the relevant branch for investigation.
- Chase branches for resolution of outstanding queries to avoid payment delays.
- Escalate problematic or unresolved queries to senior staff or the Credit Manager.
- Assist branches with any credit control or account-related questions.
- Account Administration
- Work from and update the evolving debtor spreadsheet daily.
- Add detailed notes to Dimensions and internal spreadsheets to ensure full account visibility.
- Split invoices as required and follow up with the correct contacting party.
- Investigate and correct any misallocations promptly to maintain accurate customer balances.
- Help manage the Credit Control inbox when needed, including responding to or allocating tasks.
- Monthly & Weekly Processes.
- Issue monthly customer statements and track responses.
- Follow up on any customer communications arising from statement runs.
- Work closely with branch teams to resolve disputes efficiently.
- Support colleagues in the credit control team during busy periods or absences.
- Whilst we work in a hybrid way, with collaboration being one of our values, we’d expect you to regularly be in our central London office, to connect with our teams in person, two days per week, Tuesday and Wednesday, 8.30am - 5.00pm.
- 28 days holiday and get an extra day for each year you stay with us, up to max 33 days plus bank holidays.
