Are you passionate about education and making a real difference? At TP Tutors, we believe every child deserves access to high-quality, safe and impactful education - no matter their circumstances. We're looking for an organised, detail-driven and values-led Tuition Consultant to help deliver life-changing tutoring programmes for children and young people across our region. This role is home-based, with regular travel for team collaboration. Ideally, you'll be located close to our Southampton team to support relationship-building and team days.

About Us: TP Tutors is a specialist tutoring service within Teaching Personnel, created to deliver structured, high-impact tuition programmes to children and young people who need them most. With over 26 years of experience, Teaching Personnel works with more than 5,000 schools, 80+ local authorities and 12,000+ educators nationwide. TP Tutors supports pupils who may be out of school, at risk of exclusion, or facing additional barriers to learning - with one clear mission: To transform lives through education and support every child's success. We're a close-knit, collaborative team based across Truro and Southampton, united by a shared commitment to doing the right thing for children and young people.

About the Role: As a Tuition Consultant, you'll manage a portfolio of local authorities and schools, overseeing tuition referrals end-to-end and ensuring every programme is delivered safely, accurately and in line with safeguarding, quality and regulatory standards. This is not a traditional 360 recruitment role. Instead, it's a coordination-focused, admin-heavy position that requires excellent organisation, strong attention to detail and confidence managing a high-volume inbox.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage referrals from schools and local authorities, reviewing and processing documentation including EHCPs, risk assessments and safeguarding information to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Match tutors to pupils based on individual needs, availability, location and circumstances.
  • Act as the main point of contact throughout each referral, liaising regularly with tutors, schools, local authorities and external professionals.
  • Provide updates, coordinate reports and review meetings, and respond to queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain regular contact with tutors to understand their experience, preferences and availability, ensuring they feel supported and clear on expectations.
  • Manage safeguarding and compliance as a core part of the role, including handling concerns, overseeing risk assessments and escalating issues appropriately.
  • Monitor the progress and impact of tuition, ensuring reports are completed and shared on time.
  • Chase timesheets and outstanding documentation, and follow up on tuition that is ending to ensure referrals are closed correctly.
  • Support business growth through strong relationship management, meeting performance targets aligned to service delivery and quality.
  • Work closely with internal teams to meet KPIs and contractual requirements.

About You: You'll thrive in this role if you're:

  • Passionate about education and supporting vulnerable children and young people.
  • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable managing multiple referrals and deadlines at once.
  • Confident working in an admin-heavy role with a high-volume inbox.
  • Calm, professional and confident handling safeguarding-related information.
  • A strong communicator who enjoys working with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Process-driven, accurate and committed to following procedures.
  • A collaborative team player who takes ownership of their work.

Experience in education, local authority services, safeguarding, administration or coordination is beneficial, but not essential. Full training and support will be provided.

What We Offer: As an equal opportunities employer, we celebrate diversity and flexibility, and we are committed to creating an inclusive environment for our incredible team. Home based working- with travel for collaboration. Generous annual leave allowance of 36 days (28+8).
