The Role
We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our Professional Services division on a 6-month fixed term contract. This role will support the Finance team in delivering timely, insightful financial analysis to drive commercial decision-making. A key focus of this role is the hands-on development of reporting and insight. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand their pressures, key drivers and decision-making needs, and translate complex data into clear, relevant and impactful reports and dashboards. The Finance Business Partnering team acts as a bridge between finance and the wider business. This role is pivotal in providing actionable insight, constructively challenging performance and supporting strategic decision-making to drive profitable growth. You will work closely with Business Directors, Heads of Services, and the Head of Finance Business Partnering and Finance Director, supporting financial discipline across operations and contributing to the development of best practice within the FBP team.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Partnering Insight
- Build strong, collaborative relationships across the business to understand operational and commercial drivers.
- Translate financial and operational data into meaningful insight that supports decision-making.
- Provide clear commentary, challenge and recommendations to stakeholders at varying levels.
- Support pricing models, business cases and contract negotiations for new and existing customers.
- Reporting, Data Analytics
- Design, build and maintain a suite of reports and dashboards to support the Professional Services division.
- Work hands-on with data using Power BI and Power Query, developing automated and scalable reporting solutions.
- Translate business requirements into effective reporting outputs that address real commercial questions.
- Prepare month-end packs and detailed variance analysis.
- Support CRM migration and wider finance process improvements.
- Collaborate with finance and operational teams to improve data quality, structure and usability.
- Support the transition of reporting into ETL-driven automated workflows where appropriate.
- Planning Performance Support
- Support budgeting, forecasting and scenario modelling activities.
- Help develop and refine KPIs to track financial and operational performance.
- Drive accountability through clear, transparent reporting and follow-up actions.
About You
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
- Strong commercial experience with exposure to business partnering environments.
- Hands-on experience building reports and dashboards using Power BI and Power Query.
- Able to work confidently with complex datasets and translate them into clear business insight.
- Strong understanding of how different business models and operational pressures impact financial performance.
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft skills.
- Strong communicator who enjoys building relationships and influencing outcomes.
- Collaborative mindset, with a willingness to share knowledge and support others.
