About the role: Working within a wider team of 10, you will be collecting outstanding invoices from Schools and nurseries.
- Manage debtor ledger and chase overdue payments
- Make collection calls/emails to overdue accounts
- Resolve invoice and account queries with clients and consultants
- Prepare aged debt reports and highlight risks for 1-2-1
- Set up new customer accounts and perform basic credit checks
- Ensure all invoices include correct PO numbers before sending
- Monitor customer credit limits and payment behaviour
- Escalate problem accounts in line with procedures
- Support month-end processes (cash allocation, reconciliations)
What you can offer: This role would suit a professional, hardworking individual who can work effectively alone but also as part of a team and who has a proven track record in collecting outstanding debt.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a credit control role
- Confident telephone manner
- Possess good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritise workload efficiently
- Ability to work in a fast paced and ever evolving environment
- Willingness to learn and develop
- Ability to work to strict deadlines
- Self-motivated with a track record of meeting and exceeding targets
Whilst we work in a hybrid way, with collaboration being one of our values, we'd expect you to regularly be in our central London office, to connect with our teams in person, at least three days per week.
28 days holiday and get an extra day for each year you stay with us, up to max 33 days PLUS bank holidays.
