Have a passion for working with children? We, at SupportED recruitment are looking for SEN teaching assistants to work in our York, Thirsk and Selby schools. We can provide roles in EYFS, KS1 and KS2. There are full time, part time and/or day to day opportunities to best suit your availability.

What the teaching assistant will do:
- Be punctual and professional
- Communicate effectively with teachers, support staff and the children.
- Support all children with their education, as well as their 1:1 child.
- Create a safe learning environment for children to develop socially, emotionally and academically.
- Assist in monitoring pupil progress.
- Show eagerness to learn and develop good behaviour strategies, when assisting the class teacher.
What the teaching assistant will have:
- A friendly, approachable character, which will help build strong relationships with children and staff.
- Previous experience in schools or childcare is preferable but not essential for the right candidate.
- A proactive and can do attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
