What the nursery practitioner will do:

  • Be punctual and professional
  • Communicate effectively with other support staff, the children and occasionally parents.
  • Support children with their 'learn through play' education.
  • Create a safe learning environment for children to develop socially, emotionally and academically.
  • Assist in monitoring pupil progress.
  • An eagerness to learn and develop good behaviour strategies, when assisting staff members.

What the nursery practitioner will have:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare is preferable but not essential for the right candidate.
  • Previous experience in nurseries or childcare is also preferable but not essential for the right candidate.
  • A friendly, approachable character, which will help build strong relationships with children and staff.
  • A proactive and can do attitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
