What the nursery practitioner will do:
- Be punctual and professional
- Communicate effectively with other support staff, the children and occasionally parents.
- Support children with their 'learn through play' education.
- Create a safe learning environment for children to develop socially, emotionally and academically.
- Assist in monitoring pupil progress.
- An eagerness to learn and develop good behaviour strategies, when assisting staff members.
What the nursery practitioner will have:
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare is preferable but not essential for the right candidate.
- Previous experience in nurseries or childcare is also preferable but not essential for the right candidate.
- A friendly, approachable character, which will help build strong relationships with children and staff.
- A proactive and can do attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
