About the role: We are now looking for an eager candidate to join us as an apprentice. You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete an IT systems and networking - Azure Cloud Support Specialist - Level 3 Apprenticeship. You will escape any issues but try and ensure they are dealt with before problems occur. As well as resolving and closing cases to customer satisfaction or escalate to the appropriate person.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a first, and single, point of contact into Services Desks for all supported businesses
  • Ensuring incoming incidents are logged accurately and that sufficient information is recorded in the relevant incident logging software
  • Ensuring that all cases owned are resolved in accordance to the agreed service level agreement (SLA)
  • Deliver outstanding customer service standards by answering all calls promptly, remaining courteous and professional at all times
  • Provide problem diagnosis, using appropriate support tools and resolution for desktop problems
  • Assign calls to correct third party queues where appropriate
  • Proactively manage customers’ expectations through either resolution of or updating on progress of their outstanding incidents/requests

What we are looking for:

  • IT enthusiast / good basic knowledge and understanding of IT
  • Keen to learn and advance your knowledge and expertise in IT
  • Good telephone manner
  • Excellent customer facing skills
  • The ability to work under pressure and as part of a team is essential

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject
  • You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
  • If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week
