The purpose of your role:
- To support the protection of Seasalt systems, data, and infrastructure by monitoring security tools, responding to alerts, assisting with incident investigations and helping to maintain security controls.
- This is a hands-on role and learning-focused, designed to build strong foundational skills in cybersecurity operations, engineering, and compliance.
- Working closely with the Network and Security engineer, Technology operations staff, and compliance teams to ensure Seasalt maintains a strong security posture.
- Utilise security toolsets and dashboards to identify and monitor security vulnerabilities.
- Take remedial action to address issues identified through vulnerability scans, penetration tests, monitoring and automated alerting.
- Monitor industry sources to remain current with the threat landscape.
- Schedule and apply security patches to our IT infrastructure and software solutions.
- Monitor, respond and where appropriate elevate security incidents and service requests.
- Conduct and report on periodic access reviews.
- Maintain and improve IT documentation, processes, internal procedures and playbooks.
- Maintain information security and data protection standards in line with all relevant legislation, regulation and company policies.

Entry requirements:
- An A-Level in ICT OR an International Baccalaureate at Level 3 in ICT OR a Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject OR a BTEC Extended Diploma in IT (180 credits).
- You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
- If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
