We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Cyber Security Apprentice to support the Technology & Digital Services (TDS) function in maintaining and improving the organisation’s cybersecurity capability. This role provides hands‑on experience across cyber security operations, governance, risk management, architecture, and security assurance. The successful candidate will work alongside internal technology teams and external partners to support day‑to‑day security activities, contribute to security improvement initiatives, and develop foundational technical and professional skills within a fast‑paced renewable energy environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the monitoring and triage of cyber security alerts and incidents
- Assist with endpoint security and vulnerability management activities
- Support user access reviews and identity security processes
- Assist with security investigations and evidence gathering
- Contribute to phishing awareness and wider cyber security awareness initiatives
- Support maintenance of cyber security documentation, standards, and procedures
- Assist with supplier security assurance and due diligence activities
- Support risk assessment and risk tracking processes
- Help maintain cybersecurity asset inventories and documentation
- Assist with audit preparation and evidence collection
Security architecture & engineering
- Support review of technical designs and security requirements
- Assist with security configuration reviews across cloud and endpoint platforms
- Contribute to cyber security improvement initiatives and remediation activities
- Support documentation of security controls and architecture decisions
Required skills

Entry requirements
- An A‑Level in ICT OR an International Baccalaureate at Level 3 in ICT OR a Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject OR a BTEC Extended Diploma in IT (180 credits)
Working hours
- 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, with an hour for lunch.
- 2 days in office, 3 days at home.
A busy role in a supportive team, with plenty of opportunities to learn. International scope – we operate in over 8 countries. Hybrid working – we will need you in the central London (Mayfair) office at least twice a week, but you will normally be able to work remotely for the remainder of the week.
