Support Worker (Bradford – BD6 – JL)
Support Worker required for a 13‑year‑old wheelchair‑dependent male with complex health needs. The young person has epilepsy, PEG feeding, double incontinence and mild behavioural needs. Support is required within the home, in the community, and for school routines.
The role involves providing consistent, reliable care and promoting the young person’s independence, wellbeing and access to activities.
Duties
- Personal care, showering and continence care
- Administering medication
- Preparing meals and supporting with feeding when required
- Supporting transfers and mobility
- Taking to and from school
- Engaging in activities inside and outside the home
- Supporting therapy sessions and attending appointments
- Light household tasks including cleaning and laundry
Hours of Support
- 30 hours per week
- School holidays: Monday–Friday, 9am–3pm
- Term time: 7.30am–9.30am and 3pm–6pm
- Some weekend support required
- Flexibility essential
Location: Bradford
Rate of Pay: £12.71
Experience of supporting young people with complex needs is desirable. A full, clean driving licence is beneficial but not essential.
