Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high quality lessons in line with the curriculum
  • Lead and manage a team of teaching assistants and support staff
  • Collaborate with therapy team (SALT, Physio, OT, Clinical Psychology) to develop communication and self‑regulation skills in young people
  • Manage physically and emotionally challenging behaviour, including the use of physical intervention when necessary
  • Promote the well‑being of young people and staff across the school
  • Maintain a positive, adaptable, and fun approach

School Background:

Residential special school for young people aged 5‑19 with Special Educational Needs including autism, attachment, PWS, moderate learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties, communication needs, therapeutic needs (speech and language, sensory processing) and associated challenging behaviour.
