SupplyGo are looking for Supply Teachers to work in primary schools in Nottingham. Whether you want regular full-time work, a few days a week, or the flexibility of day-to-day bookings, we can offer supply work that fits around you. As a Supply Teacher, you will deliver high-quality teaching and maintain a positive learning environment in the absence of the class teacher, helping pupils make progress and keeping their day running smoothly. Each school could require you to cover a single day or a longer-term assignment, depending on the their particular requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons, following the plans and resources left by the class teacher
- Plan and adapt activities where no cover work is provided
- Manage behaviour in line with each school's policies and maintain a safe, inclusive classroom
- Support pupils of all abilities, including those with additional needs
- Work closely with teaching assistants and school staff
- Follow each school's safeguarding, health and safety, and other policies and procedures
- Adapt quickly to new settings, year groups and routines
- A professional, caring and confident approach to working with children
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Reliability, punctuality and the ability to adapt at short notice
Requirements and Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A valid enhanced DBS certificate. If you are registered with the DBS Update Service, you can use it. If not, we can process an enhanced DBS check for you.
- Willingness to complete our mandatory online safeguarding training
Working Arrangements
A full day is typically 08:30am to 15:30pm, though hours may vary slightly between schools.
- Full-time teachers seeking regular, consistent work
- Part-time teachers looking for set days or reduced hours
- Ad-hoc / day-to-day teachers who want to pick up work as and when it suits them
Pay
Pay starts at £130.00 per full day and ranges up to around £200.00 per day, depending on your experience and the responsibilities of the role. All rates are inclusive of holiday pay.
