As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you'll support teachers and pupils throughout the school day. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting pupils with their learning on a 1:1 or small-group basis
  • Assisting the class teacher with lessons and classroom activities
  • Supporting children with additional or SEND needs
  • Helping to maintain a positive, safe and engaging learning environment
  • Encouraging pupils' confidence, independence and participation
  • Providing general classroom and pastoral

As this is supply work, placements can range from individual day bookings through to longer-term assignments, depending on your availability and the needs of our schools.

Previous experience working within a school, particularly a Primary or SEND setting, is desirable but not necessarily essential. We'd also be interested in hearing from applicants with relevant transferable experience working with children or young people, including within nurseries, youth work, care, sports coaching or similar settings. You should be reliable, adaptable and confident working with children, with a positive attitude towards supporting their education and development. If you already have an Enhanced DBS registered with the DBS Update Service, we can check this as part of the registration process. If you don't currently hold a suitable certificate, SupplyGo Education can assist you with processing a new Enhanced DBS.

  • Full Day: 8:30am - 3:30pm
  • Morning: 8:30am - 12:30pm
  • Afternoon: 12:00pm - 3:30pm

Hours may vary slightly depending on the individual school.

Pay starts from Β£92.63 per full day, inclusive of holiday pay, and all staff are paid via PAYE.
