About the Role
Join Supply Technologies as a Kanban Coordinator and play a vital role in keeping customer production lines running efficiently. You'll manage Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and Kanban systems on-site, ensuring critical components are available when needed while building strong customer relationships and delivering exceptional service. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and wants to make a real impact on operational performance.
What you will be doing:
- Manage part availability on site, ensuring on-time delivery and uninterrupted production by maintaining stock levels and preventing line stoppages.
- Build strong customer relationships, meet customer requirements, resolve issues, and communicate changing demand forecasts to internal teams.
- Conduct regular customer reviews and provide feedback to branch sales, purchasing, and operations teams.
- Maintain Kanban systems, including record updates, label printing, and processing amendments in line with company procedures.
- Monitor key performance metrics, including OTD, shortages, quality issues, and rejects, while promoting continuous improvement.
- Ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and cleanliness of site equipment, Kanban racks, and bins.
- Adhere to company and customer health, safety, housekeeping, security, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation and work closely with office, warehouse, and operational teams to support a smooth and efficient operation.
What We're Looking For:
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Experience in Kanban, VMI, inventory control, supply chain, logistics, or customer service, preferably within the fasteners, supply chain, or automotive industry.
- Strong understanding of stock management and replenishment processes.
- Ability to maintain product availability and prevent production line stoppages.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build strong customer relationships.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office; ERP/MRP system experience is desirable.
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
