Supply Team are currently recruiting for Unqualified Teachers to work within Secondary schools in the Cardiff area. This position is a great opportunity for anyone interested in working within local schools, and ultimately lay the foundations for permanent classroom-based roles in the future. If you are an experienced Overseas Trained Teacher or a Newly Qualified Teacher, this is a great opportunity to introduce yourself to the schools in Cardiff, and develop strong links for future Teaching roles.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and confident individual who is passionate about working with pupils of all ages. Whether you have been a Sports Coach, have been involved in Youth Work, spent time in the Armed Forces, or taken part in Summer Camps - anything of that nature - you will have the transferable skills required to undertake this post.
Responsibilities
- Supervising work that has been left for the class and ensuring acceptable behaviour is maintained
- Ensuring any worksheets / books are collected at the end of a lesson and subsequent setting of homework left by the class Teacher
- Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person
- Reporting of any disruptive or escalating behaviour, in line with school policy
- Ensure that the classroom is left tidy at the end of each lesson
- Undertake form/lunchtime/break duties including registration cover, as directed
