Supply Team Education are currently recruiting for a School Caretaker on behalf of our clients, a Primary School in central Cardiff. Recent experience within a school environment is desirable, however applications from candidates that can demonstrate competence in fulfilling the main duties will also be welcomed, especially if they can start immediately, and live local to the school. The role is part-time 15 hours, and includes both opening the school at 7.30am and closing the site at 6pm each day. These hours are typical as shown, but may vary based on the school's requirements.

The main duties will be:

  • Securing the school buildings and setting the intruder alarms.
  • Supporting the cleaning staff by moving stock, unblocking toilets etc.
  • Minor maintenance as required.
  • Removing general and recycled waste to main bin area.
  • Delivering goods received to staff.
  • Litter pick site, empty litter bins and keep drains free of litter and leaves.
  • Replenish toilet rolls, soap and blue towels in Staff and Pupil WCs as required.
  • Escort contractors across site as necessary.

The candidate should wear dark coloured casual clothing, have wet weather gear, and must wear their own safety footwear. Any other PPE required will be provided.
