We're hiring an Operations Manager role for an FMCG scale-up business, based in London (hybrid).
The company has established a strong customer base within the UK (B2B & B2C) and are looking to launch into new markets, inlcuding North America.
This is a leadership role, reporting into the founder and managing a direct team of 3 people across planning, logistics and supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Strategy and Efficiency:
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Work closely with the CEO to implement systems that enhance productivity and quality.
- Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to achieve company goals.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise efficiency, reduce costs, and improve cost per delivery.
- Monitor and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, providing regular reports to senior management.
- Identify and address potential risks and opportunities within the operational framework.
- Provide weekly and monthly sales reports to senior management.
Supply Chain and Partner Collaboration:
- Maintain strong, communicative relationships with suppliers, customers, and partners.
- Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and other external partners to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
- Develop and lead third-party partnerships as the company grows.
- Use industry analytics to source and secure transportation and warehousing services.
Team Leadership and Management:
- Direct, train, and manage the Operations team (including logistics and technical) to ensure high performance and alignment with company goals.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Collaborate with the New Product Development (NPD) team to drive system and operational improvements.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience within an Operations/Supply Chain leadership role, ideally within a FMCG/drinks/food
- Experience in a start-up, scale-up or SME environment
- Strong leadership skills with a collaborative approach
- Good data management and analytical skills
- An understanding of supply chain/logistics systems & processes
The successful candidate can expect a salary of up to £65,000 plus benefits, including a share scheme.
