Supply Star Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher to join our clients team on a long-term supply basis to cover a period of teacher absence. This role offers an excellent opportunity to teach motivated students in a supportive secondary school environment. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (with potential for Key Stage 5 depending on experience), ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining strong classroom standards. To be considered for this role you must have experience teaching within a UK secondary school.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Assess, monitor, and record student progress
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
- Provide feedback to students to support their academic development
- Work collaboratively with the Maths department and wider school staff
- Follow the school’s safeguarding and behaviour policies
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Mathematics in a UK secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
- The ability to quickly build positive relationships with students and staff
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
