About the Role As a Bank Nursery Practitioner, you will provide ad-hoc cover to support nurseries to continue creating a safe and nurturing environment, and building strong relationships with both children and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspire Learning: Support nursery team to deliver creative, age-appropriate activities aligned with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework.
- Nurture Well-being: Provide a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued.
- Safety First: Ensure excellent standards of hygiene, health, and safety are met at all times.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualifications: A full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (e.g., NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent). Paediatric First Aid Qualification (if qualified after 30th June 2016) English GCSE grade C/4+ (if qualified after Sept 2014)
- Experience: Previous experience working within an early years setting is highly desirable.
- Skills: A good understanding of child development, standard safeguarding practices, and the EYFS framework.
- Attributes: An enthusiastic, patient, and caring nature with excellent communication.

You must have a clear enhanced DBS certificate to be considered for this role. If you do not have one, Supply Star Recruitment can support you in obtaining one at a cost of £63.
