Supply Star Recruitment are seeking a reliable and well-organised Food Technology Technician to support the delivery of Food Preparation and Nutrition within our secondary school client. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to ensure lessons run smoothly and safely, providing practical and technical support in a busy food technology department.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients, equipment and materials for food technology lessons
- Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic food preparation environment in line with health and safety and food hygiene regulations
- Support practical lessons by assisting teaching staff and students where appropriate
- Monitor stock levels, place orders and manage deliveries
- Clean and maintain equipment, including ovens, hobs and small electrical appliances
- Ensure compliance with COSHH, risk assessments and food safety standards
- Assist with displays, coursework preparation and enrichment activities as required
