We are working in partnership with a large and highly regarded specialist SEND school to recruit an experienced and passionate KS1 SEND Primary Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher who is committed to inclusive education and has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs to achieve their full potential. The school supports pupils with a range of complex needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), communication and interaction difficulties, speech and language needs, and associated learning challenges. The successful candidate will join a dedicated and supportive multidisciplinary team within a well-resourced specialist setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils’ individual learning needs.
  • Create a nurturing and structured classroom environment that supports learning and emotional wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Monitor pupil progress and contribute to EHCP targets and reviews.
  • Use effective behaviour support strategies and communication approaches appropriate to SEND learners.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching within a primary or SEND setting.
  • Strong understanding of autism and additional learning needs.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A patient, adaptable, and compassionate approach.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
