We are currently expanding our network of experienced SEN Tutors to support students with additional needs through personalised one-to-one tuition. We are looking for compassionate, adaptable, and reliable tutors for upcoming face-to-face opportunities across Waltham Forest and surrounding areas.
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored one-to-one tuition sessions in core subjects
- Support students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, and learning difficulties
- Work in line with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Adapt lessons and teaching approaches to suit individual learning needs
- Build positive relationships with students and families
- Provide feedback and progress updates where required
- Deliver face-to-face sessions within students’ homes or community settings
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ teaching or tutoring experience in the UK
- Experience supporting students with SEN and EHCPs
- Strong knowledge of core subjects including English, Maths and Science
- Comfortable working independently in face-to-face settings
- DBS registered on the Update Service
- Flexible daytime availability preferred
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 10 hours weekly
Desirable Qualifications
- PGCE and/or QTS
- SEN qualifications or specialist training
- Experience working outside mainstream education settings
